Urtasun returns to action

Aiming to secure a place on Euskaltel's Tour de France roster, Pablo Urtasun will on Wednesday make his return to competition after abandoning the Giro d'Italia.

The speedy hardman came a cropper on the Giro's very first stage and decided to pack his bags by stage five, ending his Italian adventure but as a consequence entering into Tour contention.

Urtasun was named of one of 10 riders in contention for one of the nine places on offer last week, and will aim to prove he's in the right state of form in the Tour of Luxembourg starting this Wednesday.

Joining Urtasun in the five-day race will be André Schulze, Steffen Radochla, Juan José Lobato, Rubén Pérez, Jon Aberasturi and Ioannis Tamouridis, according to the team's official website.
